  • Host Monthly Membership Luncheons
  • Host Quarterly Networking Meetings – Breakfasts and After-hours
  • Host Meet-n-Greet events that we often do in conjunction w/ the City
  • Host Free Small Business Counseling sessions with Small Business Development Center from Sam Houston State University

Host several events throughout the year that have proven successful not only for the chamber (i.e. record attendance at the Rodeo and at Gun Shows), but the city as well by overnight stays in our local hotels, providing increase in business for our restaurants, gas stations, etc…all creating valuable tax dollars for further economic development.

  • Continue to market the city – send out relocation packets, welcome visitors/guest to community, etc…
  • Provide contact information for potential or new businesses that come into the area, then send correspondence to EDC sharing info about company/prospect along with contact info for follow up
  • Forward project leads from the office of the Governor through Entergy to the EDC
  • Markets Chamber/City though radio on a consistent basis as well as through other media sources as events happen.  In addition, markets civic center for events on billboards and forwards leads on future events to civic center staff
  • Continuously working on ways to promote Shopping Local

Just a few of the ways the chamber (that 你 are a part of) helps our City/Community

  • Generates continual revenue for the City’s Civic Center and offers multiple opportunities to show off the venue for future bookings
  • Joins with Civic Center staff to host Meet-n-Greet opportunities for the “movers and shakers” of our community such as the CISD school Superintendent and our local City Officials and Departmental leaders
  • Assists with City events as needed (Provide electronic advertisement for events, provide staff time, volunteers, and needed supplies for events as needed…i.e…2013 and 2014 EDC Annual Golf Tournament, 2013 and 2014 Cleveland Municipal Air Race)
  • Joins with Cleveland Municipal Airport staff in advertising of the airport by holding annual events there such as Renegades on the Runway Car Show
  • Provides maps of the area (including both City streets as well as County Roads)
  • Send out relocation packets to potential new residents (this includes a local newspaper, telephone directory, area map, current rental listing, apartment brochures, real estate agents business cards, and anything else specifically asked for by requestor)
  • Provides  rental listings for new residents (this is one of the most requested items at the chamber office and includes rental property in Cleveland, Tarkington, and Splendora ISD’s)
  • Serves as “information central” for multiple callers daily (Providing many local, regional, and statewide numbers needed to assist caller)
  • Works with past and current CVB Directors to continuously market our city (recently submitted changes to the original City brochure created by the chamber for a new, revised brochure being created by the CVB)
  • Generates additional revenue for our police department by providing multiple extra security jobs for officers (approximately $15,000.00 annually)
